THE GRAIN AND FEED ASSOCIATION OF ILLINOIS The Grain and Feed Association of Illinois is a 125-year- old organization that represents commercial grain elevators, feed dealers and feed manufacturers/ processors in the state. The grain industry buys grain from farmers, stores it, keeps it safe and in superior condition, then sells it during periods of demand where it will be used in the US or overseas. The feed industry takes farm-grown crops and ingredients, as well as food coproducts, and develops high-quality, nutritious and safe animal food. With combined sales of more than $24 billion and over 45,000 jobs, the grain and feed industries are an integral part of the Illinois economy.
